Support the Voicenet Solutions 3
Friday, 01 May 2009 00:00
Three members of the Voicenet Solutions Team are jumping out of a plane in support of CLIC Sargent Caring for Children with Cancer.
On the 16th May, if you're in the Dorset area make sure you look up into the sky. As somewhere above you Jade Harley, Darren Foster and Ross Jago will be leaping to earth.
Harnessed (tightly) to an experienced parachute instructor they will jump from at least 10,000 feet, free-fall down to 5,000 feet - falling through the air at 120 mph then ride the parachute down to the ground.
The Inspiration
The jump is in aid of CLIC Sargent Caring for Children with Cancer which all three, plus the rest of the Voicenet Solutions team feel strongly about supporting. That's because on 9th September 2008 Little Mia Stillwell, the granddaughter of Anne Martin at Voicenet Solutions, was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia.
The team are supporting Clic Sargent because of all their fantastic work they do with Mia and other children with Cancer.
The Participants

"If someone had told me at the beginning of the year that I would be jumping out of a plane at 10,000 feet in May I would have laughed"

"I'm doing it to support Mia and all children in her situation. We dont realise how many children are going through this until it happens to someone close to you... "

"We are close knit office and we're all doing it for a very good cause. I'm relatively apprehensive but looking forward to it, well looking forward to landing safely anyway."
