Kevin Pietersen gives VoIP Provider, Voicenet Solutions the thumbs-up

Since arriving on the international cricket scene Kevin Pietersen has taken the game by storm and is now classed as one of the best and most recognisable batsmen in the world.

In February this year Voicenet Solutions were proud to announce that Kevin had taken their VoIP softphone on tour to India where he played 3 Tests and 7 One Day Internationals. Three months, a first England test win in India for a generation and several VoIP calls later, we got in touch with Kevin to see how he got on with the Voicenet Solutions service.

Voicenet Solutions: Hi Kevin how did it go?

Kevin Pietersen: It’s great, so easy to use and the clarity was like being in the UK. I used the softphone on my laptop with a broadband connection wherever I could.

Voicenet Solutions: Did you make many calls?

Kevin Pietersen: Yeah I used it as much as I could outside match days. The best thing was, that during the tour we spent a fair bit of time travelling so I just got connected at airports and phoned a mate, while checking my emails.

Voicenet Solutions: Who did you call?

Kevin Pietersen: I called my girlfriend in the UK, my mum in South Africa as well as friends in Australia and America. I could have long conversations, sometimes more than an hour, without the worry of a huge mobile bill. It just made the tour and being away from home that much easier and relaxing.

Voicenet Solutions: What did your team mates think of it?

Kevin Pietersen: They liked it, some were very interested in it.

Voicenet Solutions: Did you try any particular business feature?

Kevin Pietersen: Yeah I did, Voicemail was particularly useful. Plus when I am not near my laptop I set it up so all calls get forwarded to my mobile, without having to give my number out.

Voicenet Solutions: Who could benefit from this service?

Kevin Pietersen: This service could be beneficial to anyone, and any business, there are so many features and the line is so clear.
