Convergence Summit North Turns to Hosted IP

Organised by Comms Business Magazine, The Convergence Summit North is a two day Communications Channel event held in Manchester showcasing the offerings from all telecom suppliers in the UK and especially the North of the country.

Who Attended the Convergence Summit?
All the major players attended the show with the view of displaying new products, launches as well as attracting future Telecommunications resellers. For the first time the Convergence Summit seemed to have a feeling of more hosted offerings, which Voicenet Solutions certainly welcomes this development in the market.

Voicenet Solutions always enjoys attending the event in Manchester and as a national company we have an established presence in the north, however we are always looking to expand in this area of the country.

Fixed Mobile Convergence pre-Launch trial
Voicenet Solutions had a customary stand as well as full branding and sponsorship of the main refreshment area where we showcased our products including a pre-launch trial of our new FMC product which evoked a very good response. Everyone who saw the fully functioning Fixed Mobile Convergence solution seemed very excited about the offering which is due for launch in Q2 of this year.

With impressive numbers of independent telephony resellers and representatives from all the major telecom suppliers, the show was deemed a huge success, but it was Voicenet Solutions who perhaps went away with the biggest smile, when Gary Pryor COO won an open PBX Versus Hosted VoIP Head to Head competition by beating IP PBX supplier by popular vote.
