Business Mobile call and roaming costs cut

Businesses will be pleased to hear that from July, the cost for making and receiving calls abroad as well as data roaming, will be reduced and become more in line with domestic call costs. 

The ruling on mobile phone roaming call charges to drop have come about from a European parliament vote which is a step towards a European commission goal of reducing the gap between domestic and foreign call rates to virtually nothing by 2015. It was claimed that mobile operators were making profits upwards of 200% for mobile calls made in another EU country, and up to 400% for calls received.
